Aomori Hiba water contains about 140 ppm of natural hinokitiol. The concentration of natural hinokitiol is 140 ppm, which is the concentration that can prevent the growth of many bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli. ● Natural hinokitiol has the same effect as sorbic acid, a food preservative, at a concentration of / 10 to 1/100. It said to have a high inhibitory property for molds or mites, etc.  ● The elements of Hiba water are mainly composed of natural hinokitiol. Natural hinokitiol has been approved as a food preservative, and the cosmetic industry has used natural hinokitiol in the products for decades. ● Our Hiba water is distilled by the steam distillation of Aomori Hiba sawdust.
