Lumen opened in April 2018 and has rapidly grown to become one of Detroit’s finest new eateries. The architecture is a bold statement with its swooping design that creates a beautiful abstract against the park and cityscape. Designed by the teams of Saroki Architecture and Touloukian Touloukianas, the facility bodes a rooftop patio perfect for the warm weather months.

I spoke with the managing partner Gabby Milton on what diners can expect for the summer because of the COVID-19 situation. Per Gabby the menu will be smaller but still appealing, seating is appropriately spaced for social distancing along with just 50% capacity for the indoor seating area and a reservation is required at certain times. Take out can be ordered from the bar and the amazing drinks are still on tap. You can order from a special digital menu to make your dining on the go a little easier.
