Virgil Abloh ‘s latest collections for Louis Vuitton are a stellar example of the man’s pure genius. Spring/Summer 2019 saw a new call for Urban chic and yes Urban in my opinion is so overused. At this point, I feel we need to reinvent that word.
Abloh presented at the beautiful Domaine du Palais Royal in Paris on a perfect day. The collection began in a sea of white leading into a blooming crescendo of blazing color based on rainbows. Abloh’s reinterpretation of Gucci classics was on point, wearable but still incredibly cool and adventurous. I loved the white embossed tote bag with chains, colorful tie-dyed prints, and vibrant accessories.

For Abloh Fall 2019/2020 ushered in a complete cityscape of fashion, live from the streets. Replete with graffiti artist, bleachers and blowing trash!. A varied collection textured with everything from puffy embossed jackets balanced with tailored suiting and long slim trousers. light and airy prints with hoods underneath structured and voluminous coats. Classic LV leathers embossed some extra puffy and emboldened with matching duffle bags, new takes on double-breasted coats and jackets, oversized appliques placed strategically in sleeves and lapels also played well across the body.
